¹⁴ if somehow I might provoke to jealousy my own flesh and blood^[a] and save some of them. ¹⁵ For if their rejection leads to the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?

¹⁶ If the firstfruit is holy, so is the whole batch of dough;^[b] and if the root is holy, so are the branches.
